An artist whose pieces sell for tens of thousands of dollars - despite tremendous limitations of being:

Introducing, my aunt... Judith Scott.
The story of my Aunt Judy is now coming to light as a beautiful, poignant memoir and biography, written by my birthmother, Joyce Scott, the fraternal twin of Judith.
When Joyce and Judith were only 7, Judith was put into a cruel institution, where she languished for decades...
Until Joyce - feeling guided at a meditation retreat to rescue her sister - began the legally difficult process of getting her twin out of the institution, setting her free.
Judith found her voice and her genius at an art school for developmentally disabled adults, and began to weave fascinating, colorful yarn art pieces, which have been featured at museums worldwide (click to see a list).
